Every LongHorn Dessert Ranked — From Chocolate Stampede to Cheesecake
Published 2026-06-22 by LongHorn Menu Team
LongHorn desserts do not get enough credit. The Chocolate Stampede alone could justify a visit. But how do the others stack up? We tried every dessert on the menu and ranked them from good to unmissable.
1. Chocolate Stampede ($10.99, 1,880 cal)
This is the dessert that put LongHorn on the map for sweet endings. Six types of chocolate in one massive construction: brownie, mousse, chocolate cake, hot fudge, chocolate chips, and whipped cream. It is designed for sharing, though plenty of solo diners power through it. If you only order one dessert here, make it this one.
2. Molten Lava Cake ($8.99, 1,140 cal)
Warm chocolate cake with a liquid center that flows when you cut into it. Vanilla ice cream on top creates the hot-cold contrast that makes lava cake work. This is the better choice if you are dining alone and the Stampede feels like too much.
3. Caramel Apple Goldrush ($8.99, 1,020 cal)
An underrated option. Warm apple pie filling with caramel drizzle and vanilla ice cream. It is lighter than the chocolate options and a nice change of pace. Available seasonally at some locations.
4. Strawberry Shortcake ($8.99, 720 cal)
The lightest dessert on the menu. Fresh strawberries, sweet biscuit, and whipped cream. This is what you order when everyone at the table is too full but still wants something sweet. Seasonal availability.
5. Key Lime Pie ($7.99, 520 cal)
Tangy, creamy, straightforward. The graham cracker crust is the highlight. It is not house-made, but it is a solid choice if you want something citrusy after a heavy steak dinner.
Which LongHorn Dessert Should You Order?
If you are sharing, get the Chocolate Stampede. If you are solo, get the Molten Lava Cake. If you want something lighter, the Strawberry Shortcake is your best bet.
